Dear Families,

October always seems like one of the busiest months of the school year! We had such a cool visit from NASA astronaut, Dr. Leroy Chiao, today – what a neat way to wrap up our CKLA unit on Ancient Asian cultures and inventions! Did you know that the Chinese were the first to invent rockets?

The Homecoming Parade was so much fun today, as well! I love seeing school and community spirit through the eyes of a 2nd grader.  Special thanks to Mrs. Gum and Mrs. Sheffield for their help.

On another note, we are working on our landform maps this Wednesday and are in need of your dough.  I will resend the letter on Monday.
